1)It is a physical or mental disease?
It is a mental disease. 2)What causes the disability? it is genetic? people with autism has issues with non-verbal communication, a wide range of social interactions and activities that include an element of play and/or banter. Studies strongly suggest that some people have a genetic predisposition to autism. 3)What are the conditions of the disability? Autism is a very often diagnosed alongside other conditions, such as dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and learning disabilities. A)What ABILITIES does the person have? Strong visual skills ability to understand and retain concentrate concepts, rules, sequences and patterns good memory of details or rote facts (math facts, train schedules,baseball statistics) long-term memory computer and technology skills musical ability or interest intense concentrations or focus, especially on a preferred activity Artistic ability Mathematical ability Ability to decode written language (read) at an early age (but not necessarily comprehend) strong encoding (spelling) honesty. B)What Disabilities does the person have? Autism is a lifelong development disability that affects how a person communicates with, and relates to, other people. It also affects how they make sense of the world around them. C) How can someone with the disability be treated? There are many things parents can do to help children with autism overcome their challenges. But it's also important to make sure you get the support you need. When you're looking after a child with autism, taking care of yourself is not an act of selfishness—it's a necessity. Being emotionally strong allows you to be the best parent you can be to your child in need. These parenting tips can help by making life with an autistic child easier. 3) How many people have this disability? (eg.1 in 1000) The prevalence of autism is about 1-2 per 1,000 people worldwide tan girls. 4) Are there any famous people with this disability? Einstein is believed to have had Asperger's syndrome or autism. 5) How does this disability affect the communication? For children with autism spectrum disorder, communication development happens differently and more slowly beacuse of the sensory challenges associated with the disorder, children with autism might seem more interested in environment sounds, like thee whirring of a fan or vacuum than in the sound of people talking. They may seem distracted or even seem not to hear what people say. |

1) What challenges will learners face at school?
Autism spectrum disorders are challenging for the classroom teachers and the student due to the diverse needs and sensory issues faced by the students. 2) Are there any schools in Kuwait that cater to special needs? Yes, many schools in Kuwait cater to special needs people. 3) Is there any special device or medication to help people with this disability to learn and communicate better? There are no psychiatric medications or any special device for "autism" but there are many supplements special diets. |
